Our Mission & Vision

The Space Applications and Environmental Science Laboratory's (SPAEL) mission is to equip students and researchers with requisite skills in the applications of remote sensing and GIS required for diverse and/or complex environmental analysis.

The Laboratory's main goal is to map out, describe, analyze and interpret the spatial distribution of natural resources such as soil, forestry and forest resources, ecology, tourism, environmental impact surveys, climatic pattern and water resources management.

The Vision of SPAEL is to become a top-rated laboratory of international repute and develop as an international resource centre for space applications
